The zinc and steel construction of the 8600 Series spiral gauge makes it suitable for use in hydraulic, lubricating, cooking or fuel oil tanks. They are also suitable for gasoline and diesel fuel tank levels in a variety of stationary equipment, construction and maintenance vehicles such as road sweepers and water spray trucks. The gauge incorporates a strong nickel-plated Alnico magnet. The magnet is capable of driving a standard direct read fractional indicator dial (8680) or TwinSite® sender dial (8640) that in addition to direct read sends an electrical signal to a remote receiver (gauge) and provides a remote fractional level indication.

The gauges have a 1 1/2" MNPT tank connection and are suitable for tank pressures up to 25 PSIG They are designed for top (lid) mounting.

General Specifications*

Accuracy depends upon proper gauge sizing. Direct read dials ±8%, TwinSite dials ±12%.

Temperature Standard operating range is -40°F to 158°F, -40°C to 70°C.

Shock and Vibration: Shorter models are suitable for off-road applications.

Approval: Available UL listed for flammable liquids.

Head: Die-cast Zinc, Support Rod: Zinc coated Steel

Center shaft: Brass.

Tie Plate Guide, & Bearing Pin: Stainless steel.

Float: Nitrile rubber

Drive Magnet: Plated alnico.

Standard Dial: Polycarbonate, hermetically sealed.

Length measurement is from bottom of threads to the bottom of float guide frame.
